There was place called "UnderGround Records" in San Francisco and San Jose. They used to sell bootleg vinyl in a bin right next to the exits. We used to see them at the flea market on Berryessa Road too. A friend in Berkeley used to buy his bootlegs at Leopold's BookStore.

It wouldn't surprise me, if you still find some recycled used bootleg vinyl at Logo's in downtown Santa Cruz even now; but in a modern world of CDs - who cares.

Still have my old LP records from the closings of the Fillmore West 7-2-71 and Winterland 12-31-78'; but haven't looked for such ghings in almost 30 years...

Johnnys Records in CT..

I got burned paying for cassettes that sounded like they were recorded from the Lot....

nothing I ever go there was any good ... and of course you couldn't check it out 1st.. or return it.

vinyl was WAY too expensive there
